Second Cousin
Alesander Alvesleben II, Duke/Billionaire, Slytherin.
Third Cousin:
Lothar Aleksie Alvesleben, 11, Ravenclaw.
Relationship with Family:
She was super close with her father and they did practically everything together. He was the one that got her into studying languages and started teaching her when she was three years old. They would spend hours in his study reading and enjoying one another's company. He let her be herself, and that is what made her want to spend so much time with him.
Her relationship with her mother was rather tentative and strained. Heloise was always trying to push her into doing more girly things and not spend so much time studying or learning. She always wanted her daughter go be more girly than she was. This just caused a lot of tension and annoyance in Louvenia.
The only thing that she did that pleased her mother was when she took up playing the piano. She was a natural much to everyone's surprise. She will often play songs that her mother loves to sing. They will often do duets at parties, even though Louvenia hates going out that much.
General History:
Abelard married Heloise, who was much younger than he was by 20 years or more. They weren't the happiest of couples, and were often arguing about what they wanted to do. However, they did love each other in their own way, and four years after they married they were given a great gift when Louvenia came along.
It was during a Yule Ball at Abelaird's cousin's palace where Heloise went into labor. She had insisted on going, despite her being so close to her due date. Louvenia was born precisely at 12:05 am with a head full of bright blond hair and sparkling blue eyes, screaming at the top of her lungs. She was greeted with great ceremony by her father and all the guests at the party.
Heloise took one look at her, held her for a moment and then gave her over to the nurse and went back to sleep.
Louvenia's fist couple of years were spent under the loving care of a nurse and her father. Her mother tried half-heartedly to get attached, but it never really happened. She hadn't come from a nurturing family and she had no idea how to do it. She did take part in getting her clothes and more toys than Louvenia would ever need.
By the time she was six, her care had been firmly placed into the capable hands of a governess, Elizabeth Lansberry. While her father still doted on her and instructed her in languages, most of his energy was focused on his students at the college he was teaching at. He was also struggling to keep up with his wife's youthfulness and wanting to go out every evening.
She showed great promise as a singer and piano player and would often play and sing for the parties that her parents threw at their home. Sometimes, though rarely she would sing at public areas, though she always had a tough time getting over her nerves. What she hated the most about these concerts was that her mother insisted she wear these really fluffy lacy dresses that were really hard to move around in.
Tragedy struck, when her parents were killed in a building fire and couldn't get out in time. Louvenia was numb and speechless for several weeks, as she processed the loss of her parents. She was 8 when this happened. Her father's cousin being named her guardian, he and his son moved in to her home to help get everything in order. There was a bit of contention between her and her half brothers over what would happen to the family house. They tried to take over the process and tried to force her to watch their bratty sons while they did this. She finally had enough when her nephews completely ruined her library and nearly burned it to the ground. She used magic for the first time that day and threw them out and told them to not return until she invited them. To this day her Family home is still locked up and no one has set foot inside.
Louvenia moved into her second cousin's home at the old castle where Lesthario Alvesleben lived. She was a bit surprised by how nicely she was treated by Lothar's grandparents, since they had never shown her any interest before.
Elizabeth, her governess and several of her father's house servants made the move with her. Alesander wanted her to have some familiar faces in his homes, and figured that with Ms. Lansberry being so well certified that she could teach his son as well as Louvenia. Louvenia slowly came out of her shell and got pretty close to her cousin. They were soon discussing geneology and exploring the castle top to bottom.
Louvenia soon became her old self and much to her cousin's annoyance began to outshine him in the classroom. He had always been the one to do the best, and now she was doing better than him! It soon became a rather embroiled competiton with them who could be the best. They butted heads every now and then, until they decided to just concentrate on the process of learning and not the gains. That's when things got better.
In the Duke's home, Louvenia was more exposed to magic than she had been in her own home. She soon became enthralled with it and constantly asked questions about how it was done. She was really excited when she was told about schools for magical studying and hoped that she would one day be asked to attend. She was overjoyed when she received her letter from Hogwarts on her birthday and read it aloud.
She was even more excited when Lothar received his letter in February. His father was really happy for the both of them and took them on a special trip to Paris to celebrate the happy occasion. Once there, the three of them discussed what the two kids would need for school and when they'd go and buy the supplies.
MISCELLANEOUS
The Sorting: *working on*
Boggart: Louvenia would see herself trussed up like a doll in frilly lacy clothes and being forced to be on display in front of a huge crowd of people.
Mirror of Erised:
Louvenia would see herself at the age of 17, her head held high receiving her diploma and the dean's award for her focus and diligence. She'd receive many accolades from her teachers and fellow students and have lots of friends congratulating her.
She'd wish for success if she actually believed in wishes. She believes more in hard work and diligence. Wishing one's life away is pure laziness.
EXTRA CREDIT
Patronus: Her Patronus would be like her father's, a song bird.
Manner of Dress: She is an impeccable dresser and always checks her outfits several times over before leaving her dorm room. She gets really [/size]annoyed if she finds loose string or if her shoes get scuffed or stepped on by other people. She even trims hairs that stick out from the ends of her braids.
